Pectus Excavatum

Robert Kelly, Jr., MD, FACS, FAAP, provides an overview of pectus excavatum. This is defined as a depression in the chest, generally caused by the sternum being too far posterior. This lecture discusses an older technique called the Ravitch procedure and compares it to a minimally invasive procedure called the Nuss procedure.
